Dr. Steven Oviedo has known two things with absolute certainty since he was young: his love for the Texas Longhorns and his calling to dentistry. A proud University of Texas at Austin graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2022. That academic excellence reflects the kind of dentist he is every single day: thorough, curious, and genuinely invested in doing right by every patient who sits in his chair.

His path to dentistry was deliberate and passionate. Between college and dental school he worked at Kunik Orthodontics, an experience that deepended his appreciation for the artistry and science that goes into great dental care and confirmed that this was exactly the profession he was meant for. Dentistry, to Dr. Oviedo, is the rare combination of helping people, working with your hands, and creating something beautiful all at once.

At Forest Family Dentistry's Burnet Road location Dr. Oviedo provides comprehensive dental care including preventive, restorative, and cosmetic services with a strong focus on patient comfort and clinical excellence. He is nitrous oxide certified and offers gentle sedation to help patients feel relaxed and at ease throughout their visit.
