PROPHYLAXIS

Also known as a dental cleaning

A dental cleaning is typically completed by a dental hygienist to remove plaque and tartar around your gums and on your teeth. Brushing and flossing should help eliminate your plaque buildup, but our dental instruments are designated to remove any excess plaque or tartar.

Dental cleanings are scheduled twice a year unless recommended otherwise.

During your dental examination, the dentist will treatment plan what type of cleaning you may need.

WHAT IS D4346?

Is a more in depth cleaning, to remove plaque/calculus when there is generalized inflammation, but not at the periodontitis stage.
