Dr. Kara Hegwood

Dr. Kara Hegwood completed her undergraduate studies from Texas A&M University and started her career as a middle school STEM educator. After many years of teaching, her love of science, artistry and helping people drove her to make a career change into Dentistry. Dr. Hegwood received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry.

When Dr. Hegwood is not taking care of patients and educating them on dental health, you can find her outside exploring all of Austin. She enjoys volleyball, running, hiking, and to cuddle up with a good book. Dr. Hegwood is currently earning her private pilot's license as well so her explorations have no limits!
