A proud third-generation Austinite, Dr. Herrera has deep roots in this Texan community. Born in North Austin and raised just a few minutes up the road in Round Rock, Texas, Dr. Herrera is passionate about serving the community he calls home and building lasting relationships with patients as a dedicated general dentist at Forest Family Dentistry's East Austin location. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a comfortable and welcoming environment to build healthy, confident smiles.
Dr. Herrera provides a comprehensive range of dental services, with a strong focus on comprehensive and restorative care. He takes the time to explain each step of the process so you always feel informed, confident, and in charge of your care. His comprehensive procedures include dental exams, tooth-colored fillings, fixed cosmetic crowns, complete and partial dentures, simple endodontics, cleanings, tooth extractions, and emergency dentistry. Dr. Herrera is also both nitrous oxide and conscious sedation certified, allowing him to provide a more comfortable and stress-free experience for patients who may feel anxious about visiting the dentist.
Dr. Herrera earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University in College Station and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry. He remains committed to continuing education and is passionate about staying current with the latest techniques and technology to provide modern, effective care.
Outside of dentistry, you can find Dr. Herrera writing and performing music with his band around Central Texas, working out, watching sports, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
