Every practice has a story behind it, and ours stated with a simple, almost stubborn idea: what if going to the dentist was somethin people actually looked forward to?

Where It All Began

Forest Family Dentistry was founded by Dr. Robin Bethell, who opened our very first office on Anderson Lane in Austin in 2013. At the time, it was just one small location with one big mission: make dental care something people genuinely enjoyed, instead of dreaded.

From day one Dr. Bethell approached things a little differently. TVS went up on the ceiling. Appointments opened early in the morning, stretched into the evening, and even landed on Saturdays. A dedicated insurance support team was built so patients could spend less time untangling paperwork and more time focused on their health. Every detail was intentional, built around one question: how do we make this easier and more comfortable for real, busy people?

Growing With Our Community

As more families found their way to Forest Family Dentistry, we worked hard to keep that same personal feel, even as the practice grew. We're grateful for the trust patients have placed in us over the years, and for the reviews and referrals that came from real people having genuinely good experiences in our chairs.

That trust allowed the practice to grow, and grown thoughtfully. By 2020, Forest Family Dentistry had expanded to four offices, always prioritizing finding the right people over simply opening more doors.

Evolving With a Better Approach to Care

Since 2020, we're leaned into a risk-based approach to dentistry treatment plans built around each patient's individual needs and risk factors, rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule dictated by insurance timelines. It's a more personalized way of practicing, and one we believe leads to better outcomes and a lot less unnecessary treatment.

Where We Are Today

Over a decade after that first office opened, Forest Family Dentistry now has five active locations across the Austin area and Round Rock:

• Anderson Lane
• Burnet Road
• Eastside
• Research Boulevard
• Round Rock

And we're not done growning. A sixth location in the West Lake area of Austin is currently under construction and coming soon, and we're excited to share that a seventh location in Georgetown, Texas is planned to open in 2027. Each new location carries forward the same mission that started it all: care that feels personal, unhurried, and gently focused on you.

What Hasn't Changed

More than a decade in, the values from that first Anderson Lane office are still at the center of everything we do: evidence-based dentistry, a genuine commitment to patient comfort, and a team that takes the time to explain your care rather than rushing you through it. We're proud to be one of the most trusted names in dental care across Austin and Round Rock, and even prouder of the thousands of families who've made us their dental home along the way.
