Dr. Sara Mandell
Dr. Sara Mandell, originally from Reading, Massachusetts just north of Boston, completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University. Certified in nitrous oxide sedation, Dr. Mandell began her career as a Dental Officer in the United States Army, serving as a General Dentist for four years at Fort Gordon, GA. She further advanced her expertise by completing a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Fort Bragg, MC, where she also earned a Master's degree in Oral Biology.
Following her residency, Dr. Mandell was stationed at Fort Hood, TX, and during the early stages of COVID-19 pandemic, she was activated to New York City to help establish a military hospital. Upon returning to Fort Hood, she managed a 30-chair dental clinic and later deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, for nine months in 2021. Recently transitioning from active duty to Reserve status, Dr. Mandell has made Central Texas her home. In her free time, she enjoys working out, hiking, and exploring new local restaurants.
