Dr. Hamza Gaj brings a genuinely unique blend of clinical expertise, global perspective, and warm patient centered care to Forest Family Dentistry's Eastside location in Austin. Born in Zambia and raised with a worldview that shapes everything about how he connects with people, he made his way to Texas where he earned his undergraduate degreee at the University of Texas while competing as a collegiate soccer player, balancing academics and athletics with the kind of discipline that carries directly into the dental chair.

Before pursuing dentistry Dr. Gaj spent time working at Apple as a Genuis, an experience that sharpened his instincts for problem solving, clear communication, and the thoughtful integration of technology into everyday life. Those skills translate remarkably well into modern patient centered dentistry and you can feel that approach in every appointment he runs.

Dr. Gaj earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwesteren University College of Dental Medicine in Chicago and went on to complete a focused residency in pediatric dentistry, giving him the advanced training and natural ability to connect with patients of all ages including younger kids who might otherwise feel nervous about the dentist.

He stays current with the latest advancements in dental technology and technique through ongoing continuing education, always looking for ways to make visits more comfortable, more efficient, and more effective for the people in his care.

Outside the office Dr. Gaj leads an active and creative life. You might find him on the soccer field, traveling somewhere new with a camera in hand, or deep in a Star Wars conversation or a comic book rabbit hole. He appreciates a wide range of music and has the kind of wide ranging curiosity that makes him a genuinely interesting person to spend an hour with.
