Dr. Alex Terrazzani (Dr. T or Dr. Alex) got her DDS from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, along the beloved Dr. Annie Hagan. Dr. T also completed a General Practice Residency in the Bronx, NY, a Periodontology residency at OHSU, OR, and she has been a Board-certified Periodontist & Implantologist since 2015.
She believes in promoting the overall health of a community by delivering personalized care for each patient, based on evidence-based research and technological standards. Dr. T can provide Comprehensive periodontal care such as Surgical periodontal therapy (Osseous surgery, Regeneration), Periodontal plastic surgery (Soft tissue grafting for Root coverage or KT Augmentation), Functional & Esthetic Crown lengthening, Oral cancer screening, Hard/soft tissue biopsy, Procedures related to Implant therapy: using CBCT & digital technology for treatment planning, ridge augmentation, sinus grafting, socket preservation and Implant placement, Management of medically compromised patients (1-year of experience working with veterans/VA), Sedation (currently oral sedation; future, will apply for IV as she was certified during her Perio residency). Now, she will further develop an advanced-interdisciplinary approach of care and skill, working along with her dear colleague and friend, Dr. Hagan, as well as all the other incredibly-welcoming dentists of FFD.
Finally, Dr. T, her husband, Ray, and their 80-lbs goldendoodle, Yoshi (who happens to have a mohawk), are only recent transplants to Austin, but already love the area. In fact, this new scenery has truly rekindled their artistic inspirations. Ray enjoys writing stories and novels, while Dr. T prefers painting, using charcoal or digital drawing. She sometimes also water-paints Yoshi's mohawk pink or blue, but the next shade might have a hard-rock feel to it.
